This project is used for compress and decompress .doc and .txt files by this project we can compress the .doc and .txt files of up to 137kb size.
The compressed data can be stored on some storage media like a floppy disk or compact disk (cd).
Compression is important because it helps reduce the consumption of expensive resources, such as disk space or connection bandwidth. However compression requires information processing power , which can also be expensive.

It is the lossless type data compression it is often used to better use disk space on office computers, or better use the connection bandwidth in a computer network, for symbolic data such as spreadsheets , text, executable programs, etc. loss-less ness is essential because changing even a single bit cannot be tolerated (except in some limited cases).
The software works very well in any of the windows operating systems. The software can be used by any persons having some prior experience of working in the gui environment. In making this software programming languages c is used.
